AI is moving fast. Everyone wants in—consultants, coaches, influencers. Some are genuinely learning, experimenting, and teaching responsibly. But others? They’re capitalizing on the hype. They’ve mastered the performance of expertise without ever putting in the work to understand the technology or its implications. Beware of the flashy frameworks and jargon words meant to rush you into action but leave you flat.

AI isn’t coming—it’s already reshaping how people access services, seek help, and make decisions. If nonprofits and mission-drive organizations don’t step into this space, others will—and too often, those others are scammers, misinformation bots, or interests with no accountability to the communities we serve. We have a responsibility to meet people where they are—and right now, they’re asking AI for answers. It’s time we show up as the trusted voice in the room.
